Weekly Pool Service

Weekly pool service in Southlake, done the same way every visit

Most pool problems are not bad luck. They are a missed step or a number left out of range for a week too long. Our weekly service is a fixed routine so nothing gets skipped, and you get a text after every visit telling you what we found and what we did.

The full weekly visit

Cleaning and debris

  • Skim the surface, net leaves, bugs, and debris
  • Empty skimmer baskets and the pump basket
  • Brush walls, steps, benches, and the tile line
  • Vacuum the floor when the pool needs it
  • Wipe the waterline tile where oils and scale collect

Equipment check

  • Watch the pump and motor run, listen for trouble
  • Check the filter pressure and clean it on schedule
  • Confirm the heater and any water features work
  • Check the water level and top off if low
  • Flag a leak, a crack, or a worn part early

Water chemistry, with the actual target ranges

Balanced water is safe, clear, and easy on your plaster and equipment. We test every visit and adjust to these ranges. No guesswork, no dumping in chemicals and hoping.

What we test Target range Why it matters here
Free chlorine 1 to 3 ppm Burns off fast in Texas heat. Too low and algae moves in.
pH 7.4 to 7.6 Off here and chlorine stops working and eyes sting.
Total alkalinity 80 to 120 ppm Keeps pH from bouncing around all week.
Cyanuric acid (stabilizer) 30 to 50 ppm Creeps up in the sun. Too high and chlorine goes lazy.
Calcium hardness 200 to 400 ppm North Texas water runs hard. This is the scale on your tile.

Ranges follow standard pool care guidance. Salt pools, spas, and water features get a few extra checks specific to their equipment.

Your filter, maintained on the right schedule

The filter is what keeps the water clear between visits. The three common types need very different care, and doing it on the wrong schedule either wastes water or lets the water cloud.

Cartridge

Pulled and rinsed clean, then deep cleaned periodically. Common on newer Southlake builds.

DE (diatomaceous earth)

Backwashed and recharged with fresh DE. Filters the finest particles when maintained right.

Sand

Backwashed on pressure, with the sand bed refreshed on a multi-year cycle.

What weekly service does not cover

Straight talk so there are no surprises. Weekly service keeps a healthy pool healthy. These are quoted on their own:

  • Recovering a green or neglected pool back to clear (a one-time recovery)
  • Repairs and equipment replacement, like a failed pump or heater
  • Draining and acid washing, or a full chemistry reset on very old water
  • Filter media replacement when it has reached the end of its life
